Full day in Berlin.
Went to the Reichstag all alone and took the first self portrait of the trip.
I did not find the Jewish Memorial to be depressing. It was an incredible experience to walk through and become engulfed by the most beautifully tactile concrete slabs I’ve ever touched.
Went to the Gemäldegalerie, where I saw two Vermeers. 5 out of 36 at this point.
This painting just spoke to me. This guy’s head is no larger than 2 inches tall yet the detail and realism was so superb. Brilliant.
And of course, saw the wall.
