Self-Initiated Design Project

Problem: The new place that I moved into has no closet. The loft has little room for tall objects due to the slanted ceiling.

Objective: Create an inexpensive object to hang my clothes on that fits in the given space and ties into the interior design of the house.

I designed it in Illustrator, simply because I have no other CAD program that I’m fluent with yet. I was able to get the measurements and angles, but man it would probably be so simple in AutoCAD.

Outcome: A less then $9 hanger made from 2×4 and ¾ electrical pipe. Pieces cut on a table saw and vertical band saw friction-fit together and match the light wood trim (though I might want to stain it.)
