This is What I did outside of school.--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne02.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nBefore class started, the international students got to take a free trip on the London Eye thanks to the RCA! <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne03.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne04.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nI love the distortion caused by the eye pods. This is the British Museum.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne12.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne13.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nI grew up to photos and drawings of all of these Egyptian artifacts!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne14.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nMmmm Mackintosh stuff.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne15.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWe also went to a foundry for another field trip.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne16.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne17.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne18.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne30.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nIt snowed in the first week of February. It was the most London got in 16 years, I believe. Everything shut down. Everything.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne31.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne32.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThe view from my window.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne19.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWhen I came back from my Easter break, London was green again! This was the new view from my window!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne20.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne21.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nI went to a picnic on Primrose Hill.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne22.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWith an amazing view.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne23.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nAnd I biked back along the canal, through Little Venice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne24.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne26.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nI had a birthday during the school year for the first time that I can remember. I share the birthday with my flatmate Matt, and Rich&#8217;s was 3 days earlier.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne27.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n(Note my NYC subway map in the upper right corner.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne28.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nIt was a hell of a busy week, but I took the evening off to see Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare&#8217;s Globe Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/LondonYearOne29.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nI love stupid British signs and signals. For a city that&#8217;s been around so long, the directional and informational signage is pretty rubbish.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebuffington.net\/photos\/nyc.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nHere&#8217;s a photo of New York City from my flight out on my Easter break. The black and white reminds me of a Margaret Bourke-White photo.
